Sweetwater Community


Canyons and wildflower fields make up the Sweetwater community's natural landscape, making it hard to believe the area is so close to Austin. Nearly half of the Sweetwater community’s acreage is dedicated for recreation and open space. Sweetwater is located just south of Lake Travis and in Bee Cave. 

 

Where is Sweetwater? 


The Sweetwater community is only 22 miles from downtown Austin and five minutes west of RR 620. Sweetwater is located off Highway 71 in Bee Creek, near the intersection of Bee Creek Road and Bee Cave Parkway. 

Sweetwater Schools


Sweetwater is located in the Lake Travis Independent School District (LTISD), which ranks #2 in the Austin area on Niche.com's list of '2017 Best School Districts' with an A+ rating. Children in the neighborhood attend West Cypress Elementary, Lake Travis Middle and Lake Travis High School. Not only being the best in Austin, LTISD ranks as one of the top school districts in the state of Texas, with Lake Travis High School holding high honors for its academics, athletics, and college readiness.

Sweetwater Life


In Sweetwater, you can hike in your own backyard. There are 700 acres of trails, parks, and natural spaces in the area. The area has even partnered with Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower center at UT to promote native grasses and flowers.


You don’t have to go far to get your feet wet. Sweetwater amenities include the 10-acre Sweetwater Club, offering a resort-style pool, and you’re within 15 miles of a refreshing crystal-clear swimming hole like Hamilton Pool and Krause Springs. Also close by are Lake Travis and the Highland Lakes. 


Other Sweet amenities include the clubhouse, sports fields, a dog park and much more. Sweetwater also features events and festivals, such as a Fall Festival and Wildflower Festival, throughout the year.
