Spicewood Community

Buying a home for sale in Spicewood means waterfront property with park views, giving all nature worshipers perfect respite. The entire area is known for its low-key way of living. In fact it is even home to music legend Willie Nelson!

Where is Spicewood?

The Spicewood community is at the north end of Lake Travis, an extension of Bee Cave and Lakeway. Spicewood is only 32 miles from Downtown Austin, with the heart of it located at the intersection of C.R 404 and Spur 191. Spicewood borders glittering northern Lake Travis in Burnet County.

Spicewood Schools

Residents in Spicewood either attend Lake Travis ISD (West Cypress Hills or Bee Cave elementary, Lake Travis Middle & High Schools) or Marble Falls ISD (Spicewood Elementary, Marble Falls Middle & High Schools.) Both districts are well-regarded in the central Texas area.

Spicewood Life

If you are drawn to outdoor activities, Spicewood offers the proximity to some of the most beautiful recreation spaces in the state, including: Grelle Recreation Area, Krause Springs, and Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area. Each offers something different such as swimming, horseback riding, camping, and picnic areas, for a true outdoor staycation lifestyle for residents and friends alike.

For eating and drinking, Spicewood Vineyards is close by, a family-owned remote gem offering handcrafted wines from the Texas Hill Country. Neighboring Opie's Barbecue offers scrumptious plates for lunch and dinner, and was voted one of Texas Monthly’s 50 Best BBQ joints.

Spicewood is a nature retreat community, hosting boutique hotspots, and serene living. However, if you want to get back to buzzing city action, Austin is just a short drive away.
