Rough Hollow Schools
Rough Hollow is served by the award-winning Lake Travis Independent School District (LTISD), ranked #9 in the state of Texas and #2 in the Austin Area. The elementary school is Serene Hill Elementary School. However, LTISD is currently in the process of building a new elementary school that will serve the Rough Hollow community for the 2020 school year. For middle schools, residents attend Lake Travis Middle School and for high school, Lake Travis High School. Since 1998, Lake Travis High School has earned 29 state championships in University Interscholastic League athletics and academics, as well as extracurricular clubs and activities. While boasting a 95 percent graduation rate, Lake Travis High School has also been named one of the “Best High Schools for Athletes” in the Austin area.
